The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Student and Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhad Haseeb, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Naeima Zaidan, welcomed the Deputy Minister of the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Hassan Al-Hasnawi.
The visit aimed to strengthen the cooperation ties between the two institutions in ways that benefit the college. This includes joint support, academic and athletic exchange, and organizing seminars, workshops, and training courses to advance scientific and sports activities.
The two parties conducted an inspection tour of the college’s sports fields to assess their maintenance and equipment needs in preparation for the upcoming academic year. During the meeting, the Dean expressed the college’s readiness to expand cooperation in all educational and athletic areas, focusing on promoting women’s sports to contribute to progress in various areas of shared interest.
This visit aligns with efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 17, which focuses on building partnerships to achieve shared objectives.
